Brighten Your Sales Results with a Lightbox
A lightbox makes an impact. There is no question this device has the ability to capture the public’s attention and draw them in. At MGM Baltic, we have the tools, the expertise, and most importantly, the imagination, to design, manufacture, and install the perfect light signs for your business.
What exactly is a lightbox?
You’ve seen them – perhaps more often than you realise. A lightbox is an illuminated display you may have mistaken for a standard electric or neon sign. Did you somehow stand still and take notice? There is something very different about the display, isn’t there? A light up box will always stand out from the crowd.

The components parts of an illuminated display panel are:
• The graphic content we see.
• The frame.
• The lighting mechanism.
• The material through which the graphic is displayed.
What’s so special about a lightbox?
The benefits of a light box sign for your business are numerous. In fact, there are far too many to list them all. However, the following list will surely convince you of the benefits of led light box technology for your company:
• Flexibility: Anything goes, and it can be changed any time e.g. make seasonal changes. Designing is extremely straightforward with no technical barriers to blur your intended vision.
• Endurance: You won’t see lighted display panel signage showing a letter missing from your logo. No rusting or chipping of paint can occur. The lighting itself is “under the hood”, so these signs can withstand all types of weather.
• Ease to switch the image whenever you please.
• Attractiveness: When you hang a large light box sign outside your premises, watch the passers-by reverse direction, and take a second look!
The Technology Behind LightBoxes
Illuminated display panels can be either analogue or digital. The common ground between the two is the “behind the scenes” lighting which illuminates the content placed in front. Currently, LED back-lighting is generally the go-to illumination. The content of your backlit viewing device is the most important choice you have to make. We can create lightboxes using letters and numbers you can swap out, or you can insert posters, photographs and artwork. Frames can also be illuminated, and can be as dynamic, or as laid-back, as you wish. Your goal is simply to attract the right audience to your unique brand.
Types of Lightboxes
We can provide any shape or size of lightbox you require. Standard shapes, such as rectangles, circles, and ovals, can be created as small or large as you require. Are you looking for custom shapes? Do you envision a large, striking lightbox occupying a stairway or escalator wall? MGM Baltic can fix that. We can advise on the best material to use for your lighed display panel. Quality plastic materials, with varying degrees of translucency, translate well into a visual impression of the quality of your products or services. Your choices include: acrylic opal, flex glass, opaque white acrylic and perspex. Please talk to us about the range of fabric materials available on aluminium frames.
Outdoor Lightboxes
Lightboxes are typically deployed outdoors. They can be huge, letting no passers-by miss your brand name. Freestanding signs are also large, allowing pedestrians to view the information in detail. However, small light box signs are equally effective, and such sites are often the go-to option for potential customers when they really need information. A restaurant, for example, could use an outdoor illuminated display showing its opening hours, menu and perhaps the soup du jour. In fact, double-sided backlit viewers are ideal for mounting outside. Either advertise your name and logo on both sides, or use one side to show stock new arrivals.
Indoor Lightboxes
Indoor illuminated displays are less common than outdoor versions but are becoming more widespread. Often used for navigation, they can boost customer confidence by helping them move around your premises. An arrow plus text, e.g. “This Way to our Bed and Bedding Department”, can make the difference between making a purchase or giving up the search. Indoor lightboxes work well inside shops, airports, showrooms, theatres, and more.
